An Application Programming Interface, or API, is a set of rules that allows two or more programs to communicate with each other. In application to a text message marketing plan, it can be very beneficial if you are in need of an automatic text reminder system.

Our current Appointment Reminder software is run by a relatively manual process, where you choose the contact from your database, select the time/day that they will receive the reminder, choose a template to send to them, then submit it. While this is incredibly beneficial for businesses with a smaller client base, or one that has appointments made 'on the fly', other businesses, such as a dental office, which may have multiple appointments every day, would do best with a different solution.
